How to Choose the Right Dog Bed Size

Posted in

Choosing the right bed size is essential for your dog’s comfort and healthy sleep. A bed that is too small can be uncomfortable, while one that is too big can leave your dog feeling insecure. Here is how to pick the perfect size.

1. Measure your dog

Using a tailor’s measuring tape, measure your dog lying down – from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail. Add 15–20 cm so there is enough room to stretch out comfortably.

2. Consider how your dog sleeps

  • Dogs that curl up in a ball – usually feel best in smaller, cosy beds such as a nest/cave or a bed with raised sides, e.g. the Cocoon.

  • Dogs that sleep on their side or stretched out – need more room, ideally a pouf or a mattress-style bed.

3. Choose the bed type and match the size
